Winter stirs up antagonistic feelings among people, but what everyone agrees is that there’s no better time to eat a delicious fondue or raclette – and if you’re in Paris, it’s even better. Here are some amazing restaurants to dip the alpine cold into a cheese casserole.
Auteuil Brasserie
To get into the Alpine weather, the Auteuil Brasserie has transformed into a true ski station, being taken over by pine trees, polar bears and log cabins. To complete the full transformation, they even changed the name of the restaurant to Val d’Auteuil (or simply ‘Auteuil Valley’). The menu also matches with the new atmosphere and offers Alpine delicacies such as the famous butternut squash soup, Montagnard pizza and, of course, a tasty fondue not to be missed.
Clover Grill
Although specializing in steaks, the Clover Grill also joined the winter atmosphere and offers a beautiful Burgundian fondue to warm the carnivores’ soul. Forget the oil, here you will dip a selection of prime steaks like the Angus Prime and Black-Market Beef into a delicious vegetable stock, and all this accompanied by a truffle sauce.
Le Terrass Hotel
If only good food is not enough, how about enjoying a warm raclette accompanied by a fabulous view of the beloved Eiffel Tower? This is exactly what the Terrass Hotel offers on its panoramic terrace which also has a super cozy decoration with sheepskins and plenty of candles. The menu is entirely dedicated to the raclettes.
