The best of Haute Couture Week, summer 2019

The haute couture fashion week always give us a lot of inspiration, whether for the audacious productions or the clothes’ exclusivity. The most famous brands in the world presented their collections this month in catwalks that pleased the most demanding customers in the world! From the sensuality of Alexandre Vauthier to the intensity of Armani, we’ve selected the best of the Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2019.

Elie Saab

Just like a dream, the brand took us to the bottom of the sea with its pieces, marked by winding silhouettes, glitter, tulle, and a lot of extravagance, of course. The Lebanese Elie Saab created a look that resembled a chic mermaid. According to him, his goal was to celebrate the magic of femininity and its glamor, bringing to Paris a little of the Mediterranean sensibility.

Giambattista Valli

Giambattista Valli’s runway was full of references from the 80s, with buff sleeves and marked shoulders. The collection is still marked by a lot of tulle, frills and the extravagance that is expected from the maison, but what stood out the most were the mullet dresses, which were presented in different models.

Alexandre Vauthier

The collection, which featured 385,000 Swarovski crystals, was inspired by the French essence. The brand Alexandre Vauthier presented looks that work the elegance and sensuality of women in various types of silhouette, from the most rigid, with marked shoulders and tailoring, to the most fluid ones.

Armani Privé

In honor of the Italian filmmaker Bernardo Bertolucci – who passed away last year – Armani Privé’s runway brought Art Deco references. Red and blue were highlights on the catwalk joining the tones of red, black and silver in flashy looks, with many prints, fringes, and sparkles.

Ralph & Russo

Inspired by Mexican actress María Félix, the haute couture collection brought several looks with feathers, tulle and dresses worthy of the most demanding brides on the market. In addition, Ralph & Russo bet on the asymmetrical trend, success on the catwalk.
