If you have not yet fallen in love with Norway, here is a good reason to buy the tickets. This is where the first underwater restaurant in Europe has been launched! The property, named Under, is situated in Lindesnes, a town in the southern region of the country. Five hours away from Oslo, it promises to be a unique experience for its customers.
The design of the restaurant was created by the Snøhetta studio, which works as a marine life research center. They created the project as a way to honor the rich diversity of local wildlife and the rocky coastline. The main room has a window of 11 meters wide and 4 meters high so that customers can enjoy the ecosystem.
The dishes are signed by two-star chef Nicolai Ellitsgaard, who has created a tasting menu focusing on seafood purchased from small local producers. Of course, they have not missed the Nordic style. Some dishes look exotic like brown crab head with cream or caramelized scallops and cabbage with smoked eggs.
To accompany and accomplish the whole experience, the sommelier Jefferson Goldring will be there to suggest the best wines. It looks like a dream, does not it?
