The most beautiful Italian wine routes

Italy by itself is fascinating, especially when we talk about the wine routes all over the country. If you’re a wine lover, you can’t miss our list and find out here the right places to stop on the way. Grab your notebook and pencil:

Terrano Wine Route

Founded in 1986, Terrano road extends for over 18km between Triste and the small village of Prepotto. The itinerary is sensorial and full of surprises and should be done in a few days to enjoy the small vineyards and their unique wines.

Barolo road and great wine of Langa

For sure, one of the most fascinating wine routes of the Piemonte region. The vineyards, the charming wine cellars, and the old farms… everything in this region is breathtaking and invite for a weekend of romance. Once there, go to La Morra, Verduno and finish your journey in Alba to unveil the secrets of the Italian truffles.

Cannonau Region in Sardenha

Navigate through the island that is considered the home of the best Italian wines. The road to Cannonau is also special for harboring the production of the most famous wine in Sardinia. There, you can admire the natural beauty of the island and taste their amazing wine, of course. Start from Cagliari and finish in Nuoro and, between the two cities, a stop at Villasimius, Jerzu, Orosei, and Mamoida is highly recommended.

Erice D.O.C wine route

Next stop: Sicilia. Precisely the small town of Erice at the far west of the island. This bucolic town is localized 750m above sea level with a privileged view of the blue Mediterranean Sea, this road takes you to find out all the authenticity of the region.

In the Trapani region, you can try the characteristic flavor of the grapes Nero d’Avola, Frappato, Syrah, Cabernet and much more. The beautiful landscape full of vineyards becomes even more dramatic when heading to the north, in the natural reserve of Zingaro.
