Air France launches a Wine Cellar

If the destiny was the only thing that mattered, traveling with class today is almost a must. More and more airlines are investing in experiences and modernity, now Air France is launching its own wine cellar, in partnership with Vente à la Propriété, the leading French reference in wine trade.

 

With the Air France LaCave service, passengers will be able to purchase online wines, champagnes and distilled beverages that are served on board or in the company’s lounges. Air France serves 800,000 bottles of wine annually between executive and first class, as well as 750,000 bottles of champagne. The Wine & Champagne List was signed by the world’s best sommelier voted in 2013, Paolo Basso.

 

 

The company has undoubtedly a close relationship with the wine world to the point of being recognized worldwide for it. In February, the company won the award for best first class champagne with the wine “Taittinger Comtes de Champagne – Blanc de Blancs 2006” during the Cellars in the Sky Awards 2018. But this was not the first time the company’s options is recognized, in September of 2018, Air France won the award for Best Airline Wine List in the World by The World of Fine Wine, a renowned British magazine.
