Christian Louboutin launches a collection in honor of Portugal

Portugal is an incredible country and Christian Louboutin never gets tired of showing the world his love for the place he chose to have a home. After news of the construction of a hotel in Alentejo, his new way of expressing this affection is in the latest collection of bags for his brand, entitled Portugaba.

With vibrant colors, shapes, fabrics and typical Portuguese patterns, the designer plunged deep into the essence of the country and created fun, interesting and unusual pieces. The entire design concept involves folklore, symbolism and Portuguese history.

As if all refined aesthetics were not enough, the bags result from the combination of various local craft techniques. “From the straps to the fringes and the panels, Portugaba owes each of its components to the exceptional skills of different Portuguese craftsmen”, says the website of the label.

Among the techniques adopted for the making of the pieces are the “pulled”, which consists of pulling threads from a piece of fabric to create reliefs with a texture similar to velvet. That is, the pieces are meticulously made and the result could not be different than a total success.

The bag has two options of color, black and white, but the success was so much that one of the models is already sold out.
