Christian Louboutin will open a hotel in Alentejo

Good news for fashion and travel lovers: one of the most famous shoe designers in the world, known by the red shoe soles, Christian Louboutin, is preparing to get into the world of hotels. What was the chosen of place? The Alentejo! The Frenchman had already shown his affection for the region, where he has a vacations house.

Since 2017 Louboutin has shown interest in the business, but now everything is taking shape. “Simple on the outside, shocking inside”, it was how the designer described the hotel, which will have 21 rooms and will be designed by the architect Madalena Caiado, who hopes to create a cozy style that harmonizes with local culture and brings the eclectic taste of Louboutin. Works will start in April and there is no forecast for completion yet.

The Frenchman even showed that he is following the project closely and intends to give his special touch throughout the hotel. “I’m buying furniture and Aboriginal art, collecting ceramics that I would like to put there.” The place will also feature a canteen-style restaurant, which will offer organic food, based on the products of each season, but the main highlight will be the local fishes and cheeses.
