There is nothing more charming than feeling represented by your favorite brands! The time has come for Dolce & Gabbana, a brand that has always been surrounded by controversy, to show the world that real women are the true inspiration of the brand. The book “Queens – Alta Moda di Dolce & Gabbana” was the first step towards this representation.
In its 216 pages, the publication seeks to portray 50 brand clients and 140 real women of different ages and mannequins, photographed by Domenico himself in Milan and London for 2 years. The idea of this book came next to the fashion show that invited influencers to the catwalk “We are surrounded by contemporary queens, our clothes only emphasize their strength,” the Italian told Vogue Brazil.
Domenico also said that the women chose what they were going to wear under his guidance and from that they adjusted the looks with pieces of the high jewelry of the brand.
According to Stefano Gabbana, the pink cover book seeks not only to highlight the charisma and beauty of women but also to express timeless sophistication and extravagance. Almost a fifth of the women who illustrated Queens are Brazilian, the designers admit that they are “sensual, authentic and exude a natural beauty”, some of them chosen were Andrea Dellal, Agla Mara Dondo, Yumi Dondo and Ana Carolina Ribeiro Valadares Gontijo.
The work was edited by Assouline and printed in Italy, but has already arrived in several countries and is available for purchase.
