Four years after closing down Marc by Marc Jacobs, the American brand is restructuring and launching a new affordable line, this time named The Marc Jacobs. The new venture seeks to celebrate an individualistic language of fashion, through a range of eclectic pieces and that is bringing a colorful, jovial and fun spirit to the look.
“We wanted to do something different from the collections we’re already doing,” said the stylist. However, according to the WWD, the designer is heavily inspired by piece that made a big hit in his archive, such as the grunge collection for Perry Ellis’s spring / summer 1993 label, which resulted in his dismissal from the label, but it was his bet on the past November. In addition to diving in inspiration from various periods of art, involving fashion, film, music and pop art.
The new brand features ready-to-wear parts, handbags, shoes, jewelry and accessories. And his first collection delivers fun looks with colorful pantyhose, striped sweaters, Snoopy prints and all kinds of prints.
In a single look we can find leathers, dots and sober colors. It is really a line made for those who wish to dare and show their true self. Or you can find an explosion of candy colors that ensure relaxed and cheerful looks.
The Marc Jacobs will also be partnering with longtime friends of the stylist. In its first collection it brings on raincoats created in collaboration with the Stutterheim.
Prices range from $ 35 to $ 1600 and are already available on the brand’s website.
