Gucci opens a luxury bookstore in New York City

Lovers of the Italian fashion house Gucci will certainly be excited with this most recent news of the brand. As a celebration to the creative tradition of SoHo and its two decades of pioneering in music, fashion, cinema and literature, this was the chosen place to open the Gucci Wooster Bookstore that gathers 2.000 titles carefully selected by the curator and founder of Dashwood Books.

Since it was open in 2005 at Bond Street, Dashwood Brooks has been one of the most important destinies in New York for contemporaneous photography titles. Reinforced by the aesthetic sense of its creative director Alessandro Michele, the collaboration with Gucci makes the space a perfect spot for art lovers and for those looking for a wide variety, rare discontinued books, or even others that rotate continuously according to Gucci’s current inspirations and seasonal projects.

The bookstore brings sumptuous decor with restored pieces, wooden furniture and a series of works by friends of Gucci such as Petra Collins, Ari Macropoulous, Ryan McGinley, Martin Parr, and Florence Welch. For fashion nerds, Gucci Wooster offers a space dedicated to sell a wide range of gifts, including canvas bags, pencils, notebooks etc. These will be sporting Gucci‘s new ’63 Wooster’ design as well as a pattern of green and cream tones representing the cast-iron architecture typical of the SoHo neighborhood.
