What is the happiest place in the world? Have you ever thought about it? The UN has created the World Happiness Report in 2012. The document annually analyzes the situation of each country in the world in order to understand which would have the most satisfied population. The list of 2019 has already left, and the top 7 countries are in Europe.
The dubious concept of happiness, for the list, is based on issues connected with the satisfaction with the country itself. Data such as GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity, and absence of corruption are analyzed.
The first place? Finland, which is at the top of the ranking for the second year in a roll. The reason is that the country performed well in each of the categories of the study, with an emphasis on social support, thanks to the abundance of public services.
This year, the United States dropped one point from the previous list. According to the report, this fact is due to the growth of an “epidemic of mass addictions”.
