The best Pre-Fall 2019 collections

Winter has barely arrived in the northern hemisphere and we’re already looking for the new trends of the season. The Pre-Fall 2019 collections of the most famous brands nowadays were presented last month as runway shows or lookbooks. From the mega shows of Valentino and Chanel to the clicks by Oscar de La Renta, we highlight the best of each one of them. Get inspired!

#OSCAR DE LA RENTA

Under the creative direction of Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, Oscar De La Renta dove in Moroccan and Indian influences to present its pre-fall collection, exploring traditional ways from both regions to present combined skirts and pants in printed silk under western blazers. Fabrics decorated with gold metallic details or multicolored floral embellishments also were a big stand out.

#GIORGIO ARMANI

The aesthetics of the 80s set the tone for the collection presented by Giorgio Armani. The streetwear gave way to a modern tailoring inspired by a younger but traditional generation. The classics of the brand have been updated with vibrant colors while maintaining fluid shapes and lightweight fabrics.

#CHANEL

The Metropolitan Museum of Art opened its doors after 30 years to receive the iconic Chanel runway featuring the Métiers d’Art show, which highlights the beautiful work of the Maison’s artisans. The collection was inspired by Egypt with sumptuous pieces that turned up the famous tweeds of the brand and details that take any wears from the obvious.

#BALMAIN

The Balmain’s collection began to get people curious even before the runway, after the disclosure of some images in the Olivier Rousteing’s profile on Instagram. The pieces didn’t disappoint, inspired by the Asian architectural fantasy and its futuristic nuances. A true time-travel.

#BURBERRY

Ricardo Tisci, Burberry’s creative director, has remained faithful to the essence of a classic color palette that transits between the shades of red, beige, black and white, and brought a collection that reinforces the concept of inclusion with pieces for men and women, fathers and sons.

#VALENTINO

Valentino’s collection was inspired by the Western culture bringing symmetry, exuberance, and perfection. Laces, ruffles and balloon sleeves were some of the details that stood out on the catwalk, reinforcing women’s femininity and power.
