Famous for its irreverent and intense style – but with a typical refinement of great designers – the London Fashion Week is beloved by people who look for an audacious and out of standard visual. The trends presented this last Fall 2019 season go through hits of the winter wardrobe and also some novelties that we were missing on runways. Check it out!
Checked pieces
Checked pieces, which had disappeared least season, are now back at full force in London Fashion Week. The argyle pattern was the favorite of knitting pieces and got several colors and sizes. It was on Molly Goddard, Victoria Beckham and Vivienne Westwood runways. The elegant Tartan is another version that was also seen and it was a big bet on Burberry and A.w.a.k.e Mode.
Balloon sleeves
Balloon sleeves and their 1980s style has won the catwalks. The bulky and flamboyant versions were the favorites of the fashion week, and it was seen in runways such as Ashley Williams, Emilia Wickstead and Asai, which were used as the highlight of the looks. But other brands have chosen to focus on more discreet and delicate models to please all styles – as in the version of Christopher Kane and Halpern.
Earthy tones
The earthy tones are already the fashionistas’ favorite, and of course, the catwalks could not miss the biggest trend of the moment. Brands like Burberry, Roksanda and Asai plunged into the trend and built earthy looks from head to toe, mixing different tones and creating interesting looks. Other brands such as Mark Fast and Jasper Conran have chosen to focus on monochrome outfits.
Extra long pants
This kind of pants that goes beyond the ankle was a trend that stood out on the catwalks of London, giving uncharacteristic touches to the outfits, in a 70s style. Among the brands that bet on the model are Awake Mode, Halpern, Ports 1961, Vivienne Westwood and Victoria Beckham.
