The biggest Fall 2019 trends from Milan Fashion Week

Milan’s fashion week has just ended, but it has left us a lot of inspiration and trends! On a fun, sexy or even “dark” catwalks, the Italian capital of fashion has shown that it likes intense visuals, with an unusual touch that catches the eye. If this is what you are looking for, you cannot miss the fashion trends seen in fashion week in Milan.

Gothic

If you thought that the Gothic look would never return to the high fashion, Milan’s fashion shows have come to prove the opposite. Fashion labels such as Prada, Marni, Versace, and Bottega Veneta all featured intense looks with lots of black and red, contrasting prints, dark make-up, and heavy leather-like fabrics to create desirable outfits.

All-leather looks

It’s difficult to imagine more versatile, cool and elegant visuals for the winter than all-leather outfits. These three characteristics are hard to find together, but Salvatore Ferragamo, Tod’s, Bottega Veneta and Moschino have shown that the trend is able to add all of them to the looks.

Visible lingerie

Sexy in the right measure! Visible lingerie came back in full force on the Italian catwalks, but elegantly, no excess. Brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Versace have left their bras, corsets, sleepwear and even panties in evidence, to create interesting and sensual visuals.

Bright tones

The Milan Fall/Winter season came with a special touch: instead of sober colors we are used to see, the bright, intense and fun tones dominated the catwalks and proved that it is possible to dare and create incredible looks using colors such as yellow, orange, purple and blue. Several brands such as Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, Emporio Armani, Fendi, and Gucci bet on the trend, proving that it is versatile and possible to adapt to different styles.
