The savoir-faire of a Lady Dior bag

For 20 years in the market, the Lady Dior bag is one of the brand’s flagships. One of the favorite models of celebrities and lovers of fashion is also one of the most iconic bags in the value-for-purchase aspect – which only increases, being an incredible investment. No wonder, the model has a sophisticated and elegant design, first-line material and a charming craft production process.

The first step is to choose the leather, which must be of high quality to achieve the Dior standard. Then, the cannage process begins, which is the patterning of the model. For this bag, the chosen pattern was based on the seat of the chairs of Napoleon III, who have been present in the hall Dior since the first brand’s runway, in 1947.

Then the straps are applied and the bag is assembled, all handcrafted. The artisan uses pieces of wood to form the correct model of the bag, tailor-made. Everything is done with great dedication so that each detail of the piece gets a perfect harmony, flawless.

As a finishing, the pieces in matte material, like eyelets, rivets, and trinkets, are added. To finish the whole process, the shoulder strap is added, so that the client can have more ways to wear it and incorporate it into the look.
